Manulife Introduces Canadian GICs

NU Online News Service, Dec. 2, 1:28 p.m. – Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, says its Manulife Investments unit will be selling a new group of guaranteed investment contract products through Canadian financial advisors.

The minimum investment is $5,000 in Canadian currency.

The products include a basic GIC and GICs organized to buffer the investor against short-term fluctuations in interest rates.

Customers who buy new contracts will get a 30-day rate guarantee, Manulife says.
