NU Online News Service, Nov. 26, 10:07 a.m. – PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., Cypress, Calif., has hired Sharon Garrett to be executive vice president of its enterprise services unit.
She will be in charge of the company's computers, data networks, business processing, claims processing and customer service.
Previously, she worked as a corporate consultant. From 1989 to 2000, she was chief information officer for The Walt Disney Company, Anaheim, Calif. She has also been deputy director of the University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center.
Garrett has a bachelor's degree in economics, a master's degree in public health, and a doctorate in public health from UCLA.
