NU Online News Service, Nov. 15, 4:03 p.m. – Cobalt Corp., Milwaukee, a managed care company, says it will try to cut costs by eliminating claims and customer service operations in two of its 14 offices.

The cuts will eliminate 78 jobs in Evansville, Wis., and 98 jobs in Stevens Point, Wis., but they will not affect the sales or provider relations jobs in those locations, Cobalt says.

The Evansville and Stevens Point offices will continue to operate until March 2003, and the affected employees will receive company-paid health benefits throughout the severance-pay period, the company says.
