MetLife Hires Communications Chief

NU Online News Service, Nov. 14, 1:42 p.m. – MetLife Inc., New York, has hired David Monfried to be the senior vice president in charge of corporate communications.

Monfried will be responsible for MetLife's advertising, creative services, internal communications and public relations operations.

Monfried previously was vice president of corporate communications at The St. Paul Companies, St. Paul, Minn. He also ran corporate communications at Dun & Bradstreet Corp., New York, for five years.

Monfried has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Rutgers University.
