CIGNA Names Investment Chief

NU Online News Service, Nov. 12, 4:30 p.m. – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, has hired David Marks to be its chief investment officer.

Marks, who will report to the head of CIGNA's retirement and investment services unit, most recently worked for Green Mountain Partners, Quechee, Vt., but he worked for CIGNA throughout the 1980s, CIGNA says.

Before working for Green Mountain, Marks was president and chief investment officer of Allianz of America Inc., a U.S. unit of Allianz A.G., Munich, that manages $25 billion in assets.

CIGNA also has promoted Daniel Sigg to president of its TimesSquare Capital Management institutional investment management unit.

Sigg previously was TimesSquare's managing director and chief operating officer.
