Manulife's D'Alessandro Named Top Canada CEO

NU Online News Service, Nov. 5, 12:40 p.m. –Manulife Financial Corporation president and chief executive officer Dominic D'Alessandro has been named Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year by his peers for contributions to Canadian business and the community.

"Dominic was the unanimous choice of our distinguished board of directors," says Douglas Caldwell, founder of Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year Awards. "He exemplifies all of the many qualities that are looked for in honorees–vision, leadership, a bias for action, a demonstrated commitment to social responsibility and an international orientation. Under his leadership, Manulife Financial has developed into one of Canada's most successful financial services companies."

Canada's Outstanding CEO of the Year award was founded in 1990. A board of 22 business leaders, including past CEO award recipients, vote each year.

Manulife is headquartered in Toronto.
