NU Online News Service, Sept. 26, 11:41 a.m. – The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, has promoted Brian Becker to senior vice president, director of corporate law, and corporate secretary.
Becker will oversee the three groups that handle Hartford's corporate legal work: transactions; securities/capital markets; and technology.
Becker previously was an associate general counsel at Hartford's Hartford Life unit. He started out as an associate at Sorokin Sorokin Gross Hyde & Williams P.C., Hartford.
Becker has a bachelor's degree in economics and history from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Boston University.
