NU Online News Service, Aug. 28, 1:25 p.m. – Manulife USA, a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, is working with Scudder Investments to set up a new family of variable annuity contracts.
Manulife will manufacture the annuities, and Scudder will distribute them through its Scudder Annuity and Life Division starting in October, the companies say.
The VA family will include a standard seven-year variable annuity and a three-year "L-share" product, the companies say.
Scudder is a unit of Deutsche Bank A.G., Frankfurt.
