NU Online News Service, Aug. 1, 5:42 p.m. – Coventry Health Care Inc., Bethesda, Md., is reporting $37 million in net income for the second quarter on $890 million in revenue, up from $20 million in net income on $787 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2001.
The managed care company ended the quarter providing or administering major medical care for 1.9 million people, up from 1.8 million people a year earlier.
