NU Online News Service, July 19, 3:02 p.m. – XN Holdings Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., has won a contract to provide a Web-based expatriate benefits system for clients of the Canadian arm of Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Mercer, a unit of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc.,, New York, is using the XN system to help manage major medical insurance, dental insurance, political risk insurance and other benefits for employees of client companies who work away from their home countries.

The program is designed so that participants can obtain expatriate health coverage without going through medical underwriting, XN says.

Employees get Web-based accounts that include detailed descriptions of their benefits and a section for storing personal health information, such as information about allergies.

The XN system also provides an international medical provider database and detailed political and security information.
