NU Online News Service, July 11, 4:33 p.m. – Reinsurance Group of America Inc., St. Louis, has opened a representative office in Seoul, South Korea.
The office will sell traditional and financial life reinsurance to Korean life insurers, RGA says.
The Seoul office is the sixth RGA has opened in the Asia-Pacific region, the company says.
Byung Chu, a native of Korea, will manage the new office. Chu previously spent 29 years working for an affiliate of Aetna Inc., Hartford, in Canada.
RGA is an affiliate of MetLife Inc., New York.
