BSA: May Bank Production Mixed

NU Online News Service, July 10, 12:59 p.m. – U.S. bank investment sales continued to improve in May, according to the Bank Securities Association, Wayne, Pa.

Bank brokers generated an average of $30,114 in investment sales in May, up 9% from April.

Licensed bankers averaged $2,707 in production in May, down 9% from April, but still above the level for May 2001.

The BSA index of bank broker-dealer sales revenue fell slightly to 133, from 137 in April. The index is based on a benchmark of 100 set in 1998.
