NU Online News Service, July 9, 4:06 p.m. – The American Association of Health Plans, Washington, has hired William Morris Inc., New York, the famous talent agency, to help it improve its reputation in Hollywood.

The managed care industry has to do a better job of keeping members of the entertainment community informed, because more Americans get their health care information from movies and television entertainment shows than get it from the nightly television news, according to Karen Ignagni, AAHP's president.

"We have a responsibility to keep Hollywood up-to-date on how health plans help women with mammogram screenings, how we care for over 500,000 individuals who live with HIV and AIDS and how we keep heath care more affordable for all Americans," Ignagni says in a statement.
