NU Online News Service, May 28, 1:58 p.m. – The BISYS Group Inc., New York, says Aetna Inc., Hartford, has agreed to renew a major contract.
Under the contract, BISYS provides processing services and account holder services for Aetna Benefits Checkbook accounts.
Aetna's group insurance unit uses the checkbook account system to offer personalized checking accounts rather than lump-sum distributions.
BISYS has been running the system since 1989.
