NU Online News Service, May 9, 2:47 p.m. – Mid-Atlantic Medical Services Inc., Rockville, Md., is reporting $19 million in net income for the first quarter of $550 million in revenue, up from $13 million in net income on $425 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2001.
MAMSI provided or administered major medical coverage for 1.9 million residents of the Mid-Atlantic region at the end of the quarter, about as many people as it covered a year earlier.
