NU Online News Service, April 29, 11:43 a.m.– Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., is reporting $47 million in net income for the first quarter on $2.7 billion in revenue, compared with $27 million in net income on $2.5 billion in revenue for the first quarter of 2001.
The managed care company provides and administers commercial major medical coverage, and it also administers major medical programs for Medicare, Medicaid and the military.
