MetLife Opens Detroit Office

NU Online News Service, April 18, 11:50 a.m. – MetLife Inc., New York, has opened a MetLife Financial Services insurance agency office in downtown Detroit.

Senior MetLife executives, including Robert Benmosche, the company's chairman, celebrated the opening today at Detroit's Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

The Detroit office will offer free consumer education seminars and aggressive recruiting campaigns as well as insurance and investment products, MetLife says.

Larry Washington, a Detroit native who belongs to the Million Dollar Round Table, will be the director of the new agency.
