NU Online News Service, March 20, 3:09 p.m. – Allstate Corp., Northbrook, Ill., says John Carl, its chief financial officer, plans to resign for undisclosed health reasons by the end of the second quarter.
Carl joined Allstate in 1999 from Amoco Corp., Chicago, where he was also chief financial officer.
Allstate Chairman Edward Liddy says that he will name a new CFO later, and that Carl will stay on to help ensure an orderly transition.
