NU Online News Service, March 6, 12:03 p.m. – LOMA, Atlanta, launched LOMASelect-Customer Service, a hiring simulation system, at the recent LOMA Customer Service Conference in Orlando, Fla.

LOMASelect-CS is a Web-based simulation system that allows job candidates to assume the role of the customer service representative. In 30 minutes, companies can find out how candidates handle real job situations using text chat and voice interaction, LOMA says.

Candidates face different scenarios, such as inquiries for products, requests for technical support and requests for service termination. Customer types include angry customers, confused customers, novice customers and business-like customers.

The test measures candidates' ability to handle several tasks at once, provide service and sell, LOMA says.
