CIGNA Sets Up Vision Benefits Company

NU Online News Service, Feb. 21, 4:06 p.m. – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, says its CIGNA HealthCare unit is forming a new vision care benefits company, CIGNA Vision Care Inc.

John Raycraft will be the president of the new unit.

The unit will cover the 4 million people who have been getting vision benefits through CIGNA HealthCare. The unit will also market vision care insurance and administrative services to employers who are not part of the existing vision care program.

Raycraft previously was senior vice president for sales and marketing at Medical Eye Services Inc., Long Beach, Calif., a managed vision care company. He has also worked for four other vision care companies.

He has a bachelor's degree in economics from California State University at Sacramento, Calif.
