NU Online News Service, Feb. 8, 12:02 p.m. –Sales Research & Consulting, Austin, Texas, a sales training firm, is forming People for the Ethical Treatment of Salespeople.

The new "PETS" group will raise money for charity and lobby for improvements in the way companies treat salespeople.

PETS organizers have set up a Web site at http://www.hugsasalesperson.com

Site content includes a copy of a "salesperson's bill of rights," links to information about sales training resources, and a message board.

Salespeople who visit the site and pay a $25 membership fee can get an official membership certificate and free access to online sales consulting services, PETS organizers say.

Site organizers say they will donate membership fee revenue to The First Tee, Austin, a nonprofit youth golf organization.
