NU Online News Service, Jan. 31, 1:53 p.m. – The American Dental Association, Chicago, has certified the MetLife Quality Initiatives Program as a recognized provider of continuing education programs.
The program, a unit of MetLife Inc., New York, organizes classes on dental care and publishes dental education materials.
Because the ADA has certified the program, it can offer official state continuing education credits to dentists and hygienists in at least 35 licensing jurisdictions, MetLife says.
MetLife believes it is the only commercial dental insurer that has ADA certification for its continuing education programs.
