Horace Mann To Sell Annuities To Chicago Teachers

NU Online News Service, Jan. 25, 3:38 p.m. – Horace Mann Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Ill., has won a contract to become one of the four companies supplying fixed and variable annuities for the Chicago Public Schools retirement plan.

The plan serves 46,000 members.

The contract takes effect April 1, Horace Mann says.

Horace Mann will offer its annuities to Chicago teachers through PEB Financial Group, Chicago, the company that administers the plan, Horace Mann says.

Horace Mann Life is a unit of Horace Mann Educators Corp., a company that sells life insurance, annuities and property-casualty insurance to teachers.
