RGA Elects MetLife CFO Chairman

NU Online News Service, Jan. 24, 1:42 p.m. – Reinsurance Group of America Inc., St. Louis, says Stewart Nagler, the chief financial officer of MetLife Inc., New York, will succeed Richard Liddy as chairman.

Liddy, 65, is retiring from RGA in April. He joined the company as president in 1988 and has been chairman since 1995.

Although RGA is a public company, MetLife owns 58% of its stock.

RGA says it will be working with MetLife senior executives to increase the value of RGA shares.
