NU Online News Service, Dec. 17, 1:46 p.m. – Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, is offering U.S. pension brokers free access to a Web-based benefit plan database.
The database provides plan contact names, telephone numbers and other information plan information. The database managers get the information from tax returns filed for 1.2 million U.S. health and pension benefit plans.
The database is open to brokers who sell Manulife 401(k) plans and sign up for the Manulife broker Web site, Manulife says.
