NU Online News Service, Nov. 27, 3:18 p.m. – CHCS Services Inc., a company that runs long-term care insurance programs for insurers, has acquired the assets of Living Strategies Inc., Bala Cynwyd, Pa.

Living Strategies provides elder care advisory services through employee assistance.

CHCS says it paid cash for the assets of Living Strategies, but the price was not disclosed.

Christopher Gatti, the former president of Living Strategies, and other key employees will now work for CHCS, CHCS says.

CHCS will also keep the Web-based systems that Living Strategies used to assess the needs of older people and help match them with the right nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home health care services, CHCS says.

CHCS is a subsidiary of Universal American Financial Corp., Rye Brook, N.Y., a company that sells LTC insurance and other products to older Americans.
