NU Online News Service, Oct. 22, 11:18 a.m. – The Michigan Senate Health Policy Committee is considering a proposed resolution, S.R. 109, that calls for the federal government to open the long-term care partnership program to all states.
States in the partnership program can offer residents financial incentives to buy private LTC insurance. But, under the rules spelled out in the current partnership program law, enacted in 1993, only California, Connecticut, Indiana and New York have been eligible to join the program.
