NU Online News Service, Oct. 22, 2:38 p.m. – The American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, says it has recast the program for its upcoming annual conference to deal with effects of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The three-day conference, scheduled to begin Nov. 11 in Boston, has added talks on:
- The effects of the attacks on the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo., by New York Insurance Superintendent Gregory Serio.
- Post-catastrophe investment strategies by Amy Falls, a fixed-income strategist at Morgan Stanley, New York.
- Money laundering, by officials from the FBI, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Treasury Department.
ACLI is also adding a beefed up panel discussion on U.S. privacy laws, and a speech by Thomas Bliley Jr., a former Republican member of the U.S. House.
