Transamerica Adds Mutual Fund-Based Retirement Plans

NU Online News Service, Oct. 17, 11:05 a.m. – Transamerica Retirements Services, Los Angeles, is introducing a new, mutual-fund-based retirement program, The Plan Advisor Series I.

Transamerica has been selling plans based on group annuities for more than 60 years. It is now adding a mutual fund program to appeal to employers and workers who are more familiar with mutual funds, the company says.

Members of Series I fund-based plans can choose from a list of 67 funds managed by 16 fund families.

Administrative features include a Web site that comes in both English and Spanish versions, and use of an AT&T language line that offers translations for 120 other languages.
