Principal Selling 401(k) Plans Through TPAs

NU Online News Service, Sept. 20, 11:05 a.m. – The Principal Financial Group, Des Moines, Iowa, says it will be working with third-party benefits plan administrators to sell 401(k) plans.

The new Principal Professional Link program will handle recordkeeping and investment management services but leave the third-party administrators in charge of plan design, compliance and client relationships.

The Principal will make the same services available to accounting firms that handle retirement plan compliance and administration services as well as to TPAs.
