NU Online News Service, Sept. 14, 11:25 a.m. – The American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, says U.S. group and individual life insurance policy clauses rarely exclude coverage for acts of war or terrorism committed on U.S. soil.

ACLI has not heard of any reports of life insurers planning to exercise war or terrorism clauses in connection with deaths resulting from the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on four U.S. passenger jets, the Pentagon and the Manhattan World Trade Center Complex, according to ACLI representatives.
