NU Online News Service, Sept. 14, 3:15 p.m. – John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, did not have an office in the Manhattan World Trade Center complex, spokesman Roy Anderson says.
Anderson said the company was unsure what effects the company will feel as a result of Tuesday's attacks on four U.S. passenger jets, the Pentagon and the trade center.
Hancock writes life policies, group life policies, long-term care policies, health policies, annuities and mutual funds.
It's not clear at this point whether the employees who worked in offices at the former trade center held policies Hancock administers, Anderson says.
