AmerUs CFO Dies At 51

NU Online News Service, Aug. 31, 12:15 p.m. – Michael Fraizer, 51, executive vice president and chief financial officer of The AmerUs Group Company, Des Moines, Iowa, died Aug. 30 from a heart attack while jogging, the company says.

"Mike was an incredible individual, both personally and professionally," Roger Brooks, chairman of AmerUs, said in a statement. "As a key member of our management team, he played a leading role in our company's growth."

Fraizer, an accountant, joined AmerUs as chief financial officer for real estate operations in 1991. He was promoted to CFO in 1999.

His survivors include his wife, Carol; his children, Dr. Michael Fraizer and Michelle Reagan; and one grandson.
