PPO Accreditation Group Recruiting Members For Technology Advisory Committee

NU Online News Service, Aug. 15, 3:46 p.m. – URAC, Washington, a nonprofit group that accredits preferred provider organizations and other health care organizations, is forming a 25-member information technology advisory committee.

The committee will advise URAC on matters such as the new federal health data communications standards, URAC says.

The committee may also help URAC develop new programs for evaluating health information technology initiatives.

URAC is looking for potential committee candidates who understand information technology, contribute a needed perspective, and represent trade groups, consumer groups and other groups that speak for large numbers of individuals and companies.

Nominations are due Sept. 21.
