Minnesota Benefits Agency Forms Alliance With Local Thrift

NU Online News Service, Aug. 1, 3:02 p.m. – Westlund Associates Inc., Hutchinson, Minn., an insurance agency that sells employee benefits and retirement plans, is teaming up with a local thrift insurance unit.

The agency has signed a marketing agreement with Insurance Planners of Hutchinson Inc., a subsidiary of FSF Financial Corp., Hutchinson.

FSF, a federal savings bank, has 11 branches in Minnesota. Its insurance subsidiary has been focusing on selling property-casualty insurance.

The FSF insurance subsidiary will now refer benefits and retirement plan leads to Westlund, and Westlund will refer prospects for property-casualty coverage to the FSF subsidiary, FSF says.
