NU Online News Service, July 20, 11:55 a.m. – Texas Health Choice L.C., Dallas, a health maintenance organization, will be offering Web-based "office visits" to some members in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
One of the carrier's biggest primary care provider groups, MedicalEdge Healthcare Group, Dallas, has bought a Web medicine system from Medfusion Inc., Research Triangle Park, N.C.
MedicalEdge doctors can use the system to schedule appointments, refer patients to specialists, handle minor medical problems and refill prescriptions.
