CFP Board Names New CEO, COO

NU Online News Service, July 20, 2:15 p.m. – The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Denver, has appointed Louis J. Garday as chief executive officer and Edythe M. Pahl as chief operating officer.

Both executives will assume their new positions Aug. 1.

Garday previously was a senior vice president and investment banker at Newman & Associates, Denver. He holds licenses in insurance as well as real estate, banking and securities. He has a bachelor's degree in business and accountancy from California State University at Los Angeles.

Pahl has worked for the CFP board for nine years. Most recently, she served as interim president while the board looked for a CEO.
