NU Online News Service, June 26, 10:25 a.m. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has launched a Web site to sell its Over-and-Under 65 health care plans online. The online initiative allows licensed insurance agents to field customer inquiries over the phone, via e-mail and through live, text-based "chat," says the company. They have access to real-time customer information, and at the customer's request, access to questions about age, health background and insurance plan preferences, as well as the ability to assist customers with the enrollment process.

BCBSF has developed and implemented the e-sales initiative in partnership Connextions.net, Orlando, Fla., an e-business services company.
