PacifiCare Names Linda Vorvick Regional Medical Director For The Northwest Region

NU Online News Service, June 11, 3: 00 p.m. – PacifiCare of Washington, Inc., Mercer Island, Wash., has promoted Linda J. Vorvick, M.D., to the position of medical director for PacifiCare of the Northwest region, a subsidiary of PacifiCare Health Systems.

In her new position, Dr. Vorvick will be responsible for medical management functions and initiatives for Oregon and Washington and be accountable for PacifiCare's care management interventions, including placing PacifiCare medical directors and nurses in area hospitals to provide consultation and support to local physicians and hospital nurses. She will also focus on improving care and quality of life for the senior population, having had extensive experience treating seniors in her own medical practice.

Previously, she has been the associate medical director for PacifiCare of Washington since 1999. Before working at PacifiCare, she was the regional medical director at Medalia Health Systems in the Western Washington, responsible for the overall function of the medical offices across the company's Seattle service area.

Dr. Vorvick received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from the University of Washington.
