The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) has acquired The Grassley Group, an association management firm that has been helping four local NAIFA chapters manage their operations.

NAIFA is based in Falls Church, Virginia, and The Grassley Group has been based in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

NAIFA is now calling the Iowa office the NAIFA Midwest Office.

The Grassley Group's 11 employees are now NAIFA employees, on NAIFA's membership and association services team.

Keith Gillies, NAIFA's president, said in a statement that the NAIFA board made the move because the NAIFA strategic plan calls for the group to modernize its structure, and to take a new approach to association management and operations.

"The board's decision to create the NAIFA Midwest Office will improve efficiency and bolster delivery of a quality membership experience across the enterprise," Gillies said.

Michele Grassley Clarke, the head of The Grassley Group, has been NAIFA's vice president of membership and association services since 2016.

Clarke will continue to run the membership and association services operation, NAIFA says.

Clarke is the daughter of Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa.
