Betterment introduced a new messaging feature through its app that allows investors to communicate with certified financial planners. The robo-advisor announced Wednesday that the in-app messaging tool will allow users to ask questions securely of Betterment financial experts at any time.
The messaging tool is available at no cost to Betterment Digital and Premium users. Premium account holders will still have unlimited calls to CFPs on Betterment's team.
Alex Benke, vice president of financial advice and investing at Betterment and a CFP, said in a statement, "We're always looking for ways to further personalize our offering so customers get the help they need in the way that works for their individual needs and preferences."
In January, Betterment veered away from the strictly digital offering it started as by splitting its service tiers and adding access to advice from CFPs and other licensed professionals.
