Recruiting activity is proving to be as volatile as the markets, with trading relatively quiet after a flurry of activity in the prior week.
Raymond James, though, added a team recently from Wells Fargo Advisors to its independent channel: Managing partners Gregory Weggeman and R. Peter Dales, operating as the independent firm ClearTrack Financial Advisors, affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services, and set up offices in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and Glenview, Illinois.
The two manage more than $225 million in client assets, with annual revenue of approximately $1.65 million.
Prior to moving into the independent channel with Raymond James, Weggeman served as managing director, investments with Wells Fargo Advisors and its seven predecessor firms, having begun his almost 40-year financial services career in 1978 with Blunt Ellis & Loewi in Wisconsin.
Dales started his financial services career in 1994 as a corporate banker with Bank of America and then worked as an investment banker at Banc of America Securities. In 2006, he joined Wachovia Securities, predecessor to Wells Fargo Advisors, as a financial advisor.
