Recruiting activity has picked up in the past week or so as the U.S. equity market enjoyed an upswing.
Steward Partners Global Advisory, an independent affiliate of Raymond James Financial Services (RJF) in Washington, welcomed Eric Beiley and his assistant, Ismael Robledo, from Morgan Stanley (MS).
Beiley has had more than $500 million in client assets and yearly fees and commissions of over $3.5 million. He is joining Steward in New York as the group expands its presence in New England.
Wells Fargo Advisors says it gained a new advisor team from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC): The Holyszko Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, led by financial advisor Jason Holyszko and including financial advisor David Snider, has joined a branch in Saginaw, Michigan.
The team now reports to Anthony Thorpe, central Michigan complex manager. It manages about $165 million in client assets.
Three new complex managers are also on board at Wells Fargo, leading branches in the Houston and Dallas metropolitan areas and reporting to Kevin Kitchin, regional president for WFA's southwest region.
Ron Medaris and Chris Gerrish joined from UBS and will lead the Dallas and Fort Worth complexes, respectively; John McCauley, who joins from Deutsche Bank, will oversee the firm's Houston Galleria complex.

Two Merrill Lynch alumni have joined Snowden Lane Partners: Alex Arista, financial advisor, and Juan Carlos Moreno, private banking and lending specialist.
Arista joins Snowden Lane's LDR International Group, headed by Rick Leyva, partner and managing director, while Moreno joins the firm's corporate team and reports to Greg Franks, managing partner and president. Both will work in the firm's San Diego office.
Rochester, New York-headquartered LVW Advisors has brought in Gary Sinderbrand as a partner. Sinderbrand will be located in the firm's New York office.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Sinderbrand spent most of his career at Merrill Lynch. Most recently, he founded Betterpath, a health care information technology company.
RBC Correspondent Services and RBC Advisor Services, divisions of RBC Capital Markets, recently announced that Michael Belkin has come on board as a business development manager. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Belkin joins from First Clearing.
