If you're a financial advisor, or looking to become one, there's good news on how this occupation stacks up against other jobs in the business world, according to U.S. News' most recent Best Jobs rankings.
The rankings found that the financial advisory profession has one of the lowest unemployment rates and one of the highest job growth rates around.
U.S. News sifted through the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics information to come up with their rankings for Best Jobs overall then put them in categories like Best Health Care Jobs and Best Technology Jobs.

U.S. News then ranked the wide variety of jobs, calculated from seven components: 10-year growth volume and growth percentage from 2012-2022, median salary, unemployment rate, future job prospects, stress level and work-life balance.
So here are the 10 Best Jobs in Business for 2014:
10. Compliance Officer
- Number of jobs: 32,400
- Job growth over 10 yrs: 4.6%
- Median salary: $62,020
- Unemployment rate: 2.6%
9. Meeting, Convention and Event Planner
- Number of jobs: 31,300
- Job growth over 10 yrs: 33.2%
- Median salary: $45,810
- Unemployment rate: 5.6%
8. Financial Manager
- Number of jobs: 46,300
- Job growth over 10 yrs: 8.9%
- Median salary: $109,740
- Unemployment rate: 3%
