Insurance company units of Sammons Financial Group Inc. have started using a system from XAware Inc. to communicate with annuity broker-dealers.
The Sammons units are using the system, the Service-Oriented Architecture products, to handle post-issue processing of annuity contracts through the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp., New York, according to XAware, Colorado Springs, Colo.
